Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2025
These are the laws of the desert. By entering the world of Sand Scarab — by clicking that first leap — you acknowledge that you have read these terms and agree to abide by them.
Right of Entry
Sand Scarab grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the game in a web browser for private entertainment. This licence permits you to play, observe, and share links to the game. It does not grant you any ownership over the game, its characters, or its code.
The Forbidden Acts
- Employing automation, bots, or scripts to influence gameplay or generate scores artificially
- Extracting, copying, or republishing any portion of Sand Scarab's source code or visual assets without written permission
- Using Sand Scarab — its characters, name, or artwork — in a commercial product or service without authorisation
- Misrepresenting Sand Scarab as your own creation in any public or commercial context
- Any conduct that violates applicable law in your territory
Ownership of the Realm
Sand Scarab in its entirety — the scarab character, the cobra and scorpion designs, the sun gem aesthetic, the Egyptian environment, the code, and all visual and audio elements — is the intellectual property of its creators. Playing the game confers no ownership of any kind. All rights not explicitly granted here are reserved.
The Sandstorm Clause (No Warranty)
Sand Scarab is provided as-is, without promise of uninterrupted availability, bug-free operation, or compatibility with every browser or device. Sandstorms happen. We will do our best but cannot guarantee perfection.
Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the creators of Sand Scarab shall not be liable for any loss or damage — including the loss of a record-breaking score — arising from your use of or inability to use this game.
Revisions to These Laws
We may update these terms at any time. Revised terms take effect when they are posted here with a new date. If you continue playing after a revision, you accept the updated terms.
